Three steps, start to finish

From the garden design to your first phone call, with no middlemen and no bidding wars.

The owner designs and asks

The request reaches nearby professionals
3
Availability registered, the contact goes to the owner
The owner always makes the first move
  1. The owner designs the garden and asks for a professional

    Using SprinklerMap they design their own system: perimeter, sprinklers, materials list and estimated hours. When they are done they choose what to share — the design, the materials list, the estimate — state when they would like the work done and which area or town the garden is in. They are never asked for the address: only the area.

  2. The request reaches professionals in the area

    The request is shown to professionals with a verified profile who cover it: within the radius they declared, within the largest garden they take on, and with availability switched on. Before opening it you see the approximate distance, the town, the area and the timing — enough to judge whether it is worth a closer look. Only then do you see the design itself, and only the parts the owner authorised.

  3. You register your availability and your contact is passed to the owner

    If the job interests you, you register your availability. The owner is shown your business card — name, contact, phone, email, website — and it is their decision whether to call. You never receive their details, and you never have to chase anyone.

Why the owner makes the first move

On traditional portals one enquiry is resold to many professionals, who all ring the same person the same afternoon. The owner regrets leaving their number, and whoever paid for that contact reaches someone already annoyed.

Here the direction is reversed: their contact details never leave the platform. You make yourself available, they choose. Anyone who calls you does so because they saw your card and decided to — and that changes the tone of the first phone call entirely.

What is never shared

The owner decides what to show, and some things are not even negotiable: they never leave the platform.

  • The owner’s name, email, phone number and address.
  • The exact location of the garden: distance is rounded, and the satellite map is never shown.
  • The name the owner gave their own garden.
  • The parts of the design they chose not to share.

What a request contains

Every request opens in two stages. On the board you see a short card, designed to tell you in a few seconds whether the job is for you:

  • the distance from your town, rounded to 5 km;
  • the town or area the owner gave — never the address;
  • the garden area in m²;
  • the timing: as soon as possible, within a month, within three months or no rush;
  • the date the request expires.

When you open it, you also get the number of sprinklers in the design and the parts the owner chose to share:

  • the design drawn in SprinklerMap;
  • the materials list;
  • the estimate of labour hours and cost, as a from–to range.

How long a request stays open

It depends on the timing the owner chose: 30 days for as soon as possible or within a month, 90 days for within three months or no rush. The clock starts when the request becomes visible to professionals, not when it was filled in.

When a request you had registered for closes, you also see why: whether the owner found someone for the job or gave up. Those are opposite outcomes, and you deserve to know which one it was.

How to read the design and the estimate

The design and the materials list are calculated by the tool from what the owner drew: sprinkler positions, throw radii, zones. They are a solid starting point for the site visit, but they are not a construction design or a bill of quantities: actual pressure and flow, soil type and obstacles have to be checked on site, and doing so before you quote is up to you.

What you need to sign up

  • To own the business, or hold a mandate to represent it.
  • A real, verifiable VAT number and contact details.
  • The town you work out of and the radius you travel.
  • To accept the terms for professionals.

The review

Every profile is checked by hand before it goes live, usually within 24–48 hours: the more complete the profile, the faster the review. It is the filter that keeps invented profiles out, and what makes your card credible when it lands in front of an owner.

How to sign up

Open SprinklerMap, sign in with Google or Apple, and from the Settings menu choose “Are you a professional?”. From there you read the terms and fill in your business profile. Signing up is free.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to sign up?

Nothing. Signing up is free and there is no subscription: the board shows the requests that match your profile and you decide which ones to open. SprinklerMap takes no part in negotiations and handles no payments between you and the owner: the quote and the contract remain a direct agreement between the two of you.

How far away do requests come from?

From the radius you set in your profile, between 1 and 200 km around the town you work from (30 km unless you change it). You can also set the largest garden you take on: bigger requests are not shown to you. The distance on the card is rounded to 5 km, because the exact location of the garden never leaves the platform.

Can I dismiss a request I am not interested in?

Yes. A dismissed request leaves your to-do list and moves to the dismissed ones, where you can restore it if you change your mind. Even after registering your availability you can withdraw it: the owner stops seeing your card.

What if the owner does not call me?

Then nothing happens: the decision to contact you is theirs, and SprinklerMap does not guarantee that a request turns into a job. You do not receive their contact details and may not reach them by other means, as circumventing the mechanism breaches the terms. When the request closes you see whether they found another professional or gave up.

Can I edit my profile after the review?

Yes, at any time. Changing the business name, VAT number, website or email sends the profile back to review, because those are exactly the details the review rests on.

Who is responsible for the data I receive?

You are. From the moment you receive a project’s data you are responsible for it as an independent controller under the GDPR: you may use it only to assess the job and, if the owner contacts you, to carry it out. You may not transfer or resell it, use it for unsolicited marketing, or keep it longer than necessary.
